Her parents were a farmer and used to work very hard in the fields. They have raised their children and given primary education. Dhanashree has completed her studies till 12th standard.

As the eldest child in the family and due to social norms she got married at the age of eighteen. Her husband is also a farmer and just like at her parent's house, Dhanashree was getting enough time in the afternoon. After some time has passed and her kids have grown, Dhanashree shares her interest to start some home based business with her husband. With her husband’s consent, Dhanashree set up a small grocery shop. After getting the decent response, to compliment the grocery shop she also introduced a flour mill and a spices grinder. To further expand the offerings she bought a noodle making machine which was had seasonal demand.

Everything was going well. Dhanashree was happy with her busy schedule and family. Suddenly, some evil has crossed her path, and she lost her left hand in noodle making machine. Despite a lot of attempts by doctors, Dhanashree has become a handicap. Due to this sudden loss, Dhanashree was broken a while. She knew if she gives it up her whole family has to suffer. So she started working with one hand, after some time she got use to it. Now, she does all of her work by one arm with any help from other.

"If I take help from other, I get the feeling of being a handicap. Now I have trained myself to do all tasks single handed, and it feels very normal to me. I used to do a lot of commercial activities but wasn't generating equivalent income. One day, Mann Deshi staff visited my house and explained the group of women about the financial management, budget and saving" Dhanashree says.

Dhanashree approaches Mann Deshi and expresses her interest in joining Deshi MBA program. During her first workshop, she learned about the doing business activities efficiently. During the workshop, she has learned about self-management and cash management. She began spending wisely and hence saving of ₹1,000/month.

In the final class, Dhanashree has learned about marketing activities, which has helped her to promote sareer resell business. Mann Deshi has provided her marketing material such as leaflets, Banner, and visiting cards. After Deshi MBA program
Dhanashree started her new saree reselling business. In addition to existing business, to compliment farming, she has increased her milk business by purchasing more 8 cows, now she is managing 10 cows. She is planning to take loan from Mann Deshi Bank soon.

"My initial monthly income was ₹ 4,000 which has now reached to ₹ 16,000. I can provide modern facilities to my children like recently I bought a laptop for their development. Despite I lost my hand, I continued my work, and with the guidance and knowledge from Mann Deshi, I don't want to stop now. I want my kids to gain higher education and increase my business like never" Dhanashree says.
