At the age of sixteen, Suvarna got married to a gentleman in the village. Due to better upbringing and habitual to the urban environment, Suvarna was more concerned about living in the rural area. Once Suvarna confronts the situation, she found herself occupied with a lot of different roles and responsibilities which haven't handled at her parent's home. She started enjoying her new life with her two children and other family members. After years had passed, she wasn't happy with the thought that she can't do anything apart from being a housewife. She wanted to make money independently to get self-says.

Due to lack of understanding and knowledge, she was unable to figure out what she can do. She got the information about Mann Deshi Foundation from her friend circle, and she enrolled herself to workshops. After attending a series of workshop one day, Suvarna decided to take care of her family farms which aren't the primary source of income for her family, that time. Suvarna started implementing the learning from the workshop in her daily life. She became self-organised and began working the farms along with other workers to know the farm work.

Suvarna shared her understanding about the management and financial literacy with her friends and started saving groups. As a learning from the first workshop, she began utilizing available resources such as water and farms to harvest vegetables, fruits and other high profitable crops. Second workshop financial management helped her in maintaining farm expenses independently from another income sources.

She took a loan under saving groups for pomegranate harvest farm, which she has repaid by selling vegetables in the local market. In these activities, her saving has reached to ₹ 1,000 from ₹ 100. In the third workshop, she learnt about the marketing activities which have helped her to take vegetable selling business to the other markets and reach more customers. As a complimentary business to farming she bought three cows and started a dairy business. Through all these activities Suvarna made ₹ 15,000 monthly compared to previous income of ₹ 2,500.
